Season starts September 12th 7pm

Welcome to the 2023-2024 season with Fairbanks Pool Association. The 22 weeks of play starts September 12th 7pm at your home bar or an opponents location.

Before we kick off the season ALL Captains need to meet September 5th, 7pm at The Round-up Steakhouse to collect their captain's binder and a overview of their newly acquired responsibilities.

A couple changes to the league this year. There will be two divisions. One OPEN division (Midnight Sun) that any and all teams can play in. The second division will have a team rating capped at 2125 (Aurora Borealis). We chose this number because its the starter rating for a team of 5 new players (425male/375female). The larger, Alder Cup trophy will be the prize for the team who wins the playoffs from the OPEN division.

Throughout the season there will be 12 tournaments hosted by the association. First one is September 9th 5pm at Banks Billiards 533 3rd Avenue. This is our Second Annual John Alder Memorial Tournament, the proceeds will go towards supporting the Myositis Association. This will be a 9 ball chip tournament. Each player gets digital chips based on their fargorate, each time you lose a game you lose a chip. You are eliminated from the tournament once you are out of chips. Last year everyone who came out to support a good cause received a prize. Dinner will be donated by Big Daddy's BBQ.

The BCAPL Championships will take place February 21-March 2, 2024 at the Rio in Las Vegas. They have made a few changes to get all the teams that travel across country five matches.
